The Justice Scholars program is a program that serves students at Westinghouse Academy in the Homewood community. Pitt-Assisted Communities & Schools has been in partnership with Westinghouse, offering University of Pittsburgh courses to interested students for the past three years. Our program has expanded to include this afterschool component, which will provide additional support for students, while also opportunities for engagement around social justice in the community.

This is an opportunity to serve as a mentor to high school students by participating in group mentoring events and providing support for a weekly afterschool program. May also have the opportunity to visit classrooms, as needed.

Looking for individuals who can commit to involvement for the semester, at minimum.
